Farmer Training Sessions
This year we held 14 training sessions on organic composting, pest management, and basic bookkeeping for our members.
Water Conservation
Water is life, especially in our dry hills. We use stone mulching and small stone cisterns—methods passed down through generations—to catch as much of the winter rain as we can.

Soil Health & Good Practice
Healthy soil grows healthy food. Most of our member farms avoid chemical pesticides and fertilizers, relying instead on composting and traditional methods—and a small but growing number are working step by step toward formal organic certification.

As a cooperative, the money we earn stays close to home. What comes in from our shop, cafeteria, kitchen and soap workshop is reinvested in equipment, training, and support for our members.
