Stronger Together,
Closer to Home.
From Salfit Municipality to the shop shelf, our cooperative works with a small circle of local partners and neighbors who help our members turn the olive harvest, the kitchen, and the soap workshop into a real livelihood.
How We Work With Our Community
Skills & Livelihood Workshops
A few times a year, together with a local women's economic-empowerment organization, we run short workshops for our members on bookkeeping, food safety, and production skills for the soap workshop, the kitchen, and the shop. Around twenty to thirty women take part in each cycle.
Youth Mentorship Program
Each summer we host a small group of high-school and university students from Salfit for a short internship, pairing them with our members to learn bookkeeping, food handling, and the everyday work of running the shop, kitchen, and soap workshop.
A Future Powered by the Sun (Coming Soon)
Electricity in Salfit is expensive, and it cuts into what our members take home. As part of our long-term sustainability goals, we're putting a growing focus on renewable energy — starting with a planned rooftop solar setup for our shop and kitchen building, to bring our running costs down for good.
Our Partners & Supporters
We work with a small circle of local and regional partners — from Salfit Municipality to fair-trade retailers — who support our members' work in the shop, the kitchen, and the fields.
Voices of the Cooperative
"Before the cooperative, I sold my olives to whoever offered a price that week. Now the cooperative presses our harvest together and pays a fair rate, so I know what my olives are worth before the season even starts."
"I joined the soap workshop two years ago knowing only how to make soap for my own home. Now I help package it for the shop and keep the books for our line."
"It's a small cooperative, but the work is real — women running their own shop, their own kitchen, their own production lines. That's more than most programs I've seen manage in Salfit."
Partner With Our Cooperative
