Our Launch
How a small group of women in Salfit, in collaboration with the municipality, grew into a cooperative of 50+ members.
Salfit Cooperative launched in 2019 in collaboration with Salfit Municipality, Palestine — founded to open real economic opportunity for Palestinian women in the district. What began as a handful of members organising around the olive harvest has grown into a network of shops, kitchens, and production lines run by and for local women.
Every project on this page — the shop, the cafeteria, the kitchen, the tomato line, the soap workshop — grew out of that first launch in 2019. It remains the foundation everything else is built on.
