Our Vision & Mission
Salfit Cooperative is a women's charitable non-profit that began its work in 2019. It aims to strengthen the role of Palestinian women in society by providing them with job opportunities that help them contribute to building their community, advancing equal rights, and opening access to resources and institutions.
We aspire to a Palestinian woman who is empowered and influential — in a society defined by social justice and democracy — and a leader who contributes to sustainable economic development.

We believe every person deserves access to basic necessities — food, shelter, and healthcare — regardless of their background or circumstances. We envision a world where people are educated and empowered to make positive change in their communities, where individuals can reach their full potential, and where the environment is protected and sustainable for generations to come.

The Soul of Our Soil
For generations, the Salfit hills have been the heartbeat of Palestinian agriculture. Our cooperative was founded not just to sell produce, but to protect the legacy of the 'Tree of Life'—the ancient olive groves our member families have tended for generations. These trees, some over a thousand years old, are silent witnesses to our history and symbols of our enduring presence.
We blend traditional harvesting techniques—passed down from grandparent to child—with modern quality control to ensure every bottle of oil and every box of fruit carries the authentic taste of Palestine.

From a small gathering of neighbors to a national pillar.
2019
Salfit Cooperative was founded in collaboration with Salfit Municipality — a handful of women organizing around the olive harvest to build real economic opportunity for themselves and their families.
2021
Launched the Soap Project, reviving a traditional Nabulsi-style method of soap-making — one of our most established member-run ventures.
Today
A network of 50+ member farming families running a shop, cafeteria, kitchen, tomato line, and soap workshop — built by and for local women, to high local quality standards.
